Ok we got a few people working with CanberraMetal.com now, so hopefully we’ll be able to do some real good in the scene. At the moment we’re focusing in on band news and gigs, but keep checking back and as time goes on we’ll have a bunch more stuff up here as well.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
A big part of why we’re doing this is simply because social media isn’t working for a lot of reasons. Posts getting lost in the noise that is facebook, sponsored posts doing nothing. Quite simply a lot of people have lost interest in facebook and by only advertising there you’re not getting to your full audience. With this site there’s no bullshit, no pushing others posts down or up based on publicity or whatever. If it’s up here, its up here and people who look at this site will have a fair chance of seeing everything posted here.

If you have anything you want to contribute feel free to get in touch at admin @ Canberra Metal.com and as long as its relevant to the local scene, we’ll put it up for you. Make sure you include a title graphic (header graphic) of dimension 500 x 800 or similar so it looks good and you’ll be all set! I’ll be checking this once a week at least but make sure we’ve got a little notice so we can do the best we can for you!
PS: Posts are free. We’ll post it once for every event so as to give everyone a fair chance. If your post is really important we’ll pin it to the top of the blog for a small fee. Just let us know if you want us to do this.
